Becoming a physician was a lifelong dream of mine. As a pediatric hospitalist, I take care of children of all ages who are admitted to the hospital for medical or surgical care. I also collaborate effectively with my specialist colleagues to harness their expertise and provide comprehensive care.
I enjoy hospital medicine because of the diversity of patients and the wide range of illnesses we see in this specialty. I provide individualized care for each patient, and I weigh the risks and benefits of each option to make the best decision for each child.
In my research, I collaborate with a range of clinicians and researchers to improve the care of hospitalized children, including those admitted to the hospital for acute and chronic illnesses.
When I have free time, I enjoy running half marathons.
